Green
Choices

A memoir about identity, conditioning, and the quiet power of everyday decisions — and the question that changes everything: were any of these choices truly my own?

The Book

Sometimes we live on green.
Sometimes we learn in red.

Inspired by a simple system used to guide her five-year-old cousin — green for good choices, yellow for caution, red for the ones that hurt — Kimberly Jackson turns the same lens on her own life.

Green Choices is part memoir, part mirror: a quiet excavation of the family expectations, cultural scripts, and inherited beliefs that shape a self before that self ever gets a vote.

01

Honest

No tidy redemption arc — just the real, uneven work of unlearning.

02

Reflective

Lessons from childhood roots, hard turning points, and small, brave shifts.

03

Liberating

An invitation to question the choices you were handed and reclaim your own.

The Lens

Three colors.
A lifetime of choices.

Green

Choices that grow you

The decisions that align with who you actually are — once you've done the work to know.

Yellow

Choices that pause you

Hesitations, warnings, and the moments worth listening to before you move.

Red

Choices that teach you

The ones you'd undo if you could — and the ones that quietly built who you've become.

"Did I really want this — or did I just want to be wanted for it?"

No life is lived entirely on green. What matters is knowing where you stand, why you stood there, and choosing the next step on purpose.
